✅ Step 1: Are You Auto-Assessed?

This year, SARS will auto-assess many taxpayers with simple tax affairs.
Here’s what you need to know:

• If SARS sends you an auto-assessment, and you agree with the amount, you don’t need to take any action — your refund (if due) will be paid automatically.
• If you disagree, we’ll help you submit a corrected return with the supporting documents.
• Act early — there are deadlines to respond or amend!

• You’ve submitted your documents via our new tax platform
• (If required) We’ve received your proof of payment

📤 What Documents Will You Need?

You’ll only be asked to upload the documents relevant to you.

Examples include:

• IRP5 income tax certificate (must show your tax number)
• Copy of your ID
• Proof of address (e.g. municipal bill or lease)
• Bank statement (with your name, account type and number)
• SARS communications
• Signed Power of Attorney (we provide the template)

🧾If you need help with extras — like investment statements, travel logs, or home office claims — we’ll provide clear guidance and templates.

You’ll follow the same simple steps as last year — only smoother.

👤 First Time Filing with Us?

No problem. We’ll register you under our tax practitioner profile.
⚠️ You’ll get an OTP from SARS — so make sure your SARS contact details are correct.

🚨 Protect Yourself from Tax Scams

SARS will never:

• Ask for your bank details over email or SMS
• Send links asking for passwords or personal info
