From Nurses to Surgeons, Emergency Care at Your Service with Trauma Assist
Saving precious seconds when they matter most: What prompt emergency medical care can do for your recovery.

With many of us trying to get the most out of our last long weekend before the end-of-year crunch, there will be much travelling over the Heritage Day long weekend to festivities, far-away homes and even a resort or two.

In the grand tradition of Braai Day, there will no doubt be a great deal of driving, fire, beer, and meat- hopefully only in that order! As important as our festivities are to us, some of them come with risks that can severely interfere with your plans! As your lifelong companion, we want to ensure that you get your weekend 100% right.

From by-laws to braai-injuries, we have put together as much helpful info as possible to keep you safe and happy this Heritage Month, but accidents happen to the best of us, and you need help when they do.

How we live up to being your companion: Trauma Assist, provided by ER24

If you suffer an injury or are in an accident, you would press your pre-selected panic number saved on your mobile phone and the Trauma Assist emergency call centre will phone you back and help with your emergency from start to completion.

Our emergency call centre operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is run by professionally trained and highly experienced crisis managers.

In a life-threatening emergency, you will have access to Emergency medical response, stabilisation and transportation to the nearest suitable medical facility.

If you require emergency assistance and/or evacuation, a private emergency ambulance will be dispatched to your location and you will be stabilised on scene. If required, you will then be taken to the nearest suitable medical facility. This service is only provided in life-threatening circumstances as assessed by the paramedics on call. We will arrange transport to the nearest medical facility that is appropriate to your specific emergency.

You can call for an ambulance when you or a loved one’s life is in danger and if you/they are in need of immediate medical help. Trauma Assist extends to Legal&Tax policyholders, their spouse and minor children.

Having access to trained medical professionals makes a huge difference!

  • Minimise blood loss

  • Greater quality of life post-recovery
