Bumped in the Rear

Our client was involved in a motor vehicle accident, and she was not insured.  The other vehicle hit her in the rear and was clearly at fault. After trying unsuccessfully to claim her damages from the other driver, our client was devastated.  She could not afford to repair the car herself.  Fortunately, she is a member of Legal and Tax Gold.  She contacted us and was able to provide complete details of other driver. Our advisor contacted the other party and got a rude response. Our advisor then did a strongly worded letter of demand. Our client’s damages of R8 958 was paid into her bank account within 14 days of sending the letter.  Our client was thrilled with the outcome and amazed at how quickly the matter was resolved.

Cell Phone Blues

Our client was accused by a cellphone service provider of owning a cell phone contract with them.  Our client had no knowledge of such a contract. The company was threatening to black list her. Our advisor put in a call to a senior manager at the company and quickly resolved the matter.  Our client, who was terrified of being blacklisted, was overjoyed at the outcome!

Employee gets his money

Our client called in on 1 March 2011.  He informed us that his employer had been liquidated and that he was paid only his salary; he was not given leave pay or a retrenchment package. The Liquidator refused to pay him more. Our advisor told our client that in terms of Section 41 of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, he is entitled to a retrenchment package. Our advisor called the liquidator, explained the situation and requested a statement of our client’s salary and employee account. On 15 March 2011, our client called and with much excitement advised us that his retrenchment package and his leave pay was paid in full.  He was extremely satisfied with the outcome and so impressed with our service he recommended our services to two of his friends who have since joined Legal and Tax.
