Knowledge is Power

An important objective at LEGAL & TAX is to empower our members with legal knowledge - so that they are able to avoid legal problems at the outset. To achieve this objective, we provide our members with ongoing legal education via a number of avenues.

These initiatives are aimed at providing our member's with valuable legal knowledge. Armed with such knowledge, it is our hope that members will be able to avoid certain legal difficulties and pitfalls. This may be termed a "proactive" as opposed to a "reactive" approach to dealing with legal problems.  Whether we assist you reactively or help you proactively to avoid legal problems through empowering you with knowledge, it is all part of our overriding philosophy of ensuring that as a member you know your rights – and therefore are able to enforce them!

As a member, you will have access to the following, to help you keep informed about your rights:

• Our quarterly email newsletter, Legal & Tax Talk, which provides insight into a range of legal topics, as well as other news.
• Our other quarterly email publications, Up2Date, which keeps you up to date with recent developments in the law; and Law School, which addresses a different legal subject each issue.
• Information evenings, where members are invited to participate in a seminar on a particular legal topic of practical relevance presented by experts. Legal advisors are also on hand to answer any questions you may have.
